A child needs structure and consistency in order to learn. We believe a child needs to know what to expect in order to feel comfortable about their surroundings and learning environment. A daily schedule of activities addressing personal needs, learning time, clean up time, quiet time and outdoor activity time is used and posted for parents to share. |

We also believe a child has their own inner clock and are each at their own developmental stage. We respect where each child is in their development and work with them individually to help them achieve their next step. At The New School Stuio, eac ild has responsibilities. Whether it be by helping clean out the guinea pig cage or setting the table for lunch each child learns they are a part of a family group and their contributions help each other. |
